Vancouver International Airport has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a spot among the top 10 best airports globally, as revealed in Skytrax’s 2026 World Airport Survey.
This prestigious ranking is attributed to various factors such as the efficiency of the immigration system, terminal comfort, staff friendliness, and check-in facilities.
Among over 500 airports worldwide, three Canadian transit hubs have made it to the top 100, with valuable input from millions of passengers contributing to this outcome.
Skytrax, a renowned international air transport rating organization that conducts the annual World Airport Awards, unveiled the findings of its 2026 World Airport Survey in London, England, on March 18, 2026.
Top Airports Worldwide
This year’s top 10 airports predominantly hail from Asia and Europe, with only one North American airport making the cut.
Vancouver International Airport, the sole Canadian airport in the top 10 list, managed to secure the 10th position, moving up from its 13th place in 2025.
Notably, this marks the first time a Canadian airport has entered the global top 10 since 2014, coincidentally, also achieved by Vancouver International Airport, which ranked ninth at that time.
