Simplified Process for Express Entry Provincial Nominee Programs

Foreign nationals interested in permanent residence through Express Entry can now conveniently assess their eligibility for all Express Entry-aligned Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) using a single online form.

Securing a provincial nomination significantly increases the chances of receiving an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence through the Express Entry system. It awards an additional 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and expands eligibility for PNP draws.

In the past, navigating Canada’s 20+ enhanced PNPs was a laborious process, often involving hiring a representative or sifting through extensive PDF documents.

Assessing Eligibility with CanadaVisa+

CanadaVisa+ (CV+) offers a user-friendly online tool that allows individuals to evaluate their eligibility for all enhanced PNP streams in under 10 minutes. If an individual does not meet the criteria for an enhanced PNP, CV+ provides guidance on how to become eligible.

Steps to Use CV+ for Assessment:

  1. Navigate to the CanadaVisa+ Assessment form and click the ‘Start Free Assessment Now’ button.
  2. Follow the steps to complete the assessment form. While most questions are straightforward, categorizing work experience may require using the National Occupation Classification (NOC) System.

The NOC assigns a unique 5-digit code to each occupation based on roles and responsibilities, not job titles. Users can search for their occupation title and view relevant NOC titles and codes to accurately classify their work experience.
