Quebec’s Skilled Worker Selection Program: Recent Draw Details

Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI) recently conducted immigration selections under its Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ).

With the closure of the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), the PSTQ has emerged as the primary route for skilled workers to settle in Quebec.

In the second draw of the year, Quebec issued a total of 2,573 invitations to foreign workers across various streams, including Highly Qualified and Specialized skills, Intermediate and manual skills, Regulated professions, and Exceptional talents.

Draw Details

Stream one: Highly qualified and specialized skills

Stream one saw 901 invitations issued across three selections to workers with TEER 0, 1, or 2 occupations, residing in Quebec with 12 months of work experience.

Selection Invitations issued
Selection One – Quebec diploma, at least 900h or 30 credits 254 invitations
Selection Two – Quebec diploma + Priority occupations 419 invitations
Selection Three – Quebec diploma 234 invitations

Each selection had specific criteria. For instance, Selection One required a Quebec diploma of at least 900 hours or 30 credits annually and a score of 741.

Selection Two necessitated the main occupation to be on the list of priority occupations for the draw and a minimum score of 627.

Selection Three mandated a minimum score of 722.
