Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program Update 2025

The latest draw by the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) for provincial immigration saw an increase in Invitations to Apply (ITAs) last week. Candidates targeted included individuals working in priority occupations within the province and international student graduates from specific universities and colleges.

This draw marks the tenth selection round conducted by PEI this year. As of October 26, PEI has issued a total of 1,081 ITAs through its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in 2025.

Draw Results

On October 17, 2025, PEI PNP issued invitations through two provincial immigration pathways: Labour Impact and PEI Express Entry.

  • Labour Impact/Express Entry: 160 invitations

This draw represented the second-highest number of invitations extended in any draw conducted by the province this year, with a total of six additional invitations. Candidates considered for this draw must have been living and working in PEI in sectors deemed valuable to the province’s economic growth.

International student graduates from specific education institutions, including University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de l’Île, received prioritization in this draw.

Due to a reduced number of nomination spaces, high application volumes, and provincial labour market priorities, PEI is focusing on selecting skilled workers in key high-demand sectors such as healthcare, trades, and manufacturing.

PEI’s Office of Immigration (OIM) highlights that individuals working in the sales and service sector may not be eligible for provincial nomination at this time. All draws conducted by PEI PNP have been from the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams, with the exception of one draw that included a candidate from the Business Impact Category.
