On December 15, 2025, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) extended more Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination.
This recent draw focused on individuals employed in occupations and priority sectors that contribute significantly to the province’s economy.
Details of the Draw
A total of 166 invitations were issued in this round, targeting individuals in high-value occupations and sectors. The PEI PNP highlighted the following priority groups:
- Candidates working with a PEI employer; and
- International graduates from specific designated learning institutions (DLIs), including the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de L’îlle.
These invitations were distributed through the Labour Impact category and PEI Express Entry category. Around 62% of PEI’s draws in 2025 shared similar selection criteria, emphasizing in-province workers and graduates from the mentioned DLIs.
This draw is anticipated to be the final one for 2025, aligning with PEI’s monthly draw schedule. The province deviated from this schedule once this year with a surprise draw in October.
PEI’s ITA Issuance in 2025
PEI PNP conducted thirteen draws in 2025, issuing a total of 1,596 invitations for provincial nomination. The majority of invitations were through the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories, with one going through the Business Impact Category – Work Permit Stream.
Barring any additional draws, this represents the total ITAs PEI will offer this year.
