Prince Edward Island recently conducted its third provincial immigration draw of the year on March 20, extending invitations through its Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways.
According to the PEI Office of Immigration, the province continues to prioritize candidates working in sectors with a higher economic impact.
This latest draw brings the total number of invitations issued by the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to 236 so far in 2026, all through its Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.
This marks the province’s third round of selections in 2026.
Draw Results
In the recent draw, the PEI PNP issued 101 invitations through its Labour Impact and Express Entry categories.
Similar to previous draws in 2026, the province has emphasized candidates working in priority sectors facing labour shortages, including healthcare, trades, and manufacturing.
International graduates from local institutions received priority consideration in this draw.
The PEI PNP’s March 20 draw deviated slightly from its anticipated schedule.
The province has specified that individuals in sales and service sectors may not receive invitations at this time.
Selection Criteria
Foreign nationals interested in immigrating to PEI through the PEI PNP must create an account on the province’s website and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
Candidates are ranked based on various factors, including language ability, education level, work experience, and strategic priorities related to the labour market.
- Language proficiency in English or French
- Education background and completion
- Work experience and skill level
- Immediate labour market needs
- Other employment factors, such as Canadian work experience
The next invitation rounds are expected to occur on April 16 and May 21, 2026, as per the previously published schedule, although these dates are subject to change.
