Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Issues Over 1000 Invitations in Latest Draws

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) recently conducted five targeted draws on March 25, 2026, granting a total of 1,112 invitations to apply (ITAs) to individuals with job offers in high-demand fields across various regions of the province.

The draws focused on candidates eligible under the province’s Employer Job Offer streams for Foreign Workers, International Students, and In-Demand Skills. To qualify for an invitation, candidates had to confirm their current residency in Canada with a valid work or study permit.

Key Draw Details

The OINP distributed ITAs across five regions of Ontario: the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Southwestern Ontario, Central Ontario (excluding GTA), Eastern Ontario, and Northern Ontario. The number of invitations, targeted streams, and minimum scores varied by region:

  • Greater Toronto Area (GTA): Foreign Worker (FW) and International Student (IS) streams, 431 invitations, minimum scores of 61 and 90, respectively.
  • Southwestern Ontario: FW and IS streams, 251 invitations, minimum scores of 53 and 81, respectively.
  • Central Ontario (excluding GTA): FW, IS, and IDS streams, 199 invitations, minimum scores of 55, 82, and 32, respectively.
  • Eastern Ontario: FW, IS, and IDS streams, 174 invitations, minimum scores of 57, 83, and 0 (no minimum score for IDS).
  • Northern Ontario: FW and IS streams, 57 invitations, minimum scores of 54 and 0 (no minimum score for IS).
