In March, Newfoundland and Labrador conducted its first draw of the year, inviting numerous provincial immigration candidates to apply.
Candidates received invitations through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
Draw Overview
A total of 445 invitations to apply (ITAs) were issued to NLPNP and AIP candidates in this round:
- NLPNP: 362 ITAs
- AIP: 83 ITAs
This marks the highest number of invitations issued in a single draw since the launch of the Expression of Interest (EOI) system last year.
This selection round is the first for the province in 2026, and the 14th overall, with the inaugural EOI draw taking place in April 2025.
The NLPNP, like other PNPs, adopted the new intake system due to reduced nomination allocations from the federal government in 2025.
Last year, Newfoundland and Labrador received a total of 2,525 nomination spaces for its provincial immigration programs.
About the NLPNP
