New Brunswick Provincial Immigration Program Updates

The government of New Brunswick has made significant changes to its provincial immigration programs, affecting both in-Canada and overseas candidates of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) and New Brunswick’s Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

Effective February 3, 2026, New Brunswick has implemented several updates:

  • No longer considering Expressions of Interest (EOIs) or issuing invitations under the NBPNP for those employed in specific sectors;
  • Restrictions on occupations eligible for consideration under various streams;
  • Introduction of a candidate pool system for AIP endorsement applications;
  • Temporary restrictions on new employer designation applications under the AIP;
  • Limitations on endorsement applications for overseas candidates in certain sectors;
  • Extension of the Private Career College Graduate Pilot for international students.

New Brunswick officially announced these updates on February 3.
