Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program Issues 906 Invitations
Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has recently issued 906 invitations for skilled workers to apply for permanent residence. These invitations, known as Letters of Advice to Apply, mark the beginning of the application process for permanent residency in Manitoba. However, it is important to note that receiving an invitation does not guarantee permanent residence status.
Focus on Two Main Groups
The draw, which took place on May 7, primarily targeted two main groups. The first group consisted of individuals already employed in Manitoba’s education sector, such as teachers, early childhood educators, and teaching assistants, with a total of 431 invitations extended. The second group comprised candidates from both inside and outside the province who were selected through strategic recruitment initiatives. Among these, 429 individuals were part of a temporary policy aimed at supporting nominees during the application processing period. Additional invitations were allocated through employer referrals, cultural and Francophone communities, as well as regional programs.
Approximately one-third of the invited candidates already possess an Express Entry profile, potentially expediting their journey through the federal permanent residence process. Manitoba remains committed to addressing workforce shortages in education and child care sectors while welcoming skilled newcomers to the province.
