Recently, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted a draw, issuing a total of 793 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to various categories of candidates. Among the recipients were Manitoba graduates, spouses of Manitoba graduates, healthcare workers, francophones, and strategically recruited candidates. Those who received LAAs have 60 days to submit a complete application for provincial nomination to the MPNP.

Candidates nominated by Manitoba may request a work permit support letter to apply for a work permit from the federal government. Additionally, provincial nominees may become eligible for a bridging open work permit after submitting their permanent residence application.

For candidates who were not invited in the draw but remain in Manitoba’s Expression of Interest (EOI) pool, there is an opportunity to qualify for special work permits under a temporary public policy, provided they meet certain criteria.
