Recently, Manitoba issued 29 invitations to skilled worker candidates through the Skilled Worker Stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)—with a focus on candidates already in the province on facilitated work permits.
Candidates were invited under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba or Skilled Worker Overseas pathways, following a direct invitation from the MPNP through strategic recruitment initiatives.
MPNP Draw Results
On October 31, 2025, Manitoba conducted a draw under the Skilled Worker Stream, inviting 29 candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
These invitations, known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were distributed among candidates who had received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) under various strategic recruitment initiatives.
| Strategic Recruitment Initiative | LAAs Issued |
|---|---|
| Employer Services | 4 |
| Francophone Community | 3 |
| Regional Communities | 2 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 1 |
| Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) | 19 |
Of the 29 LAAs issued, nine were given to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
The MPNP highlights reasons why some candidates may not have received an invitation to apply despite meeting the selection criteria.
Understanding the MPNP Selection Process
Manitoba has emphasized draws based on strategic recruitment initiatives this year through the MPNP’s Skilled Worker stream to address the province’s immigration needs effectively.
Strategic recruitment initiatives enable Manitoba to identify and invite candidates with skills that match the province’s labor market demands.
