The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has recently invited skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination in its latest draw.
Candidates were chosen to apply for provincial nomination from the MPNP after receiving an invitation to apply (ITA) under a strategic recruitment initiative in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.
This draw marks the second provincial immigration draw of the year for Manitoba.
Draw Results
On January 29, the MPNP issued 47 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to profiles submitted under the Skilled Worker Stream, through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways.
The distribution of LAAs based on strategic recruitment initiatives can be seen in the table below:
| Strategic Recruitment Initiative | Number of LAAs Issued |
|---|---|
| Employer Services | 24 |
| Francophone Community | 3 |
| Regional Communities | 4 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 2 |
| Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) | 14 |
Among the LAAs issued, six were granted to candidates with an Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
So far in 2026, the province has issued 102 LAAs for provincial nomination through two draws, both prioritizing invitations to candidates under the Employer Services recruitment initiative.
This draw continues Manitoba’s trend of selecting skilled workers invited under recruitment initiatives, emphasizing Employer Services recruitment initiative.
Manitoba highlights the focus on skilled workers in this draw compared to other streams such as the International Education Stream.
