Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Draws Skilled Workers in Latest Immigration Round

On March 12, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted its most recent immigration draw, extending invitations to candidates through its Skilled Worker Stream.

Candidates received invitations if they were directly invited by the MPNP as part of a strategic recruitment initiative.

Draw Results

Manitoba issued a total of 46 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in Expression of Interest Draw (EOI) #266.

The MPNP invited candidates through both the province’s Skilled Worker Stream pathways: Skilled Worker in Manitoba; and Skilled Worker Overseas.

To receive an invitation in this draw, candidates had to declare in their EOI profiles that they were invited by the province under a strategic recruitment initiative or through the Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates.

The majority of LAAs were issued to candidates who declared being invited under the “Employer Services” recruitment initiative, representing about 37% of LAAs.

Here’s the breakdown of LAAs issued by strategic recruitment initiative:

Strategic Recruitment Initiative Number of LAAs Issued
Employer Services 17
Francophone Community 12
Ethnocultural Communities 9
Regional Communities 6
Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) 2

*The TPP was a special measure policy that IRCC enacted, allowing candidates of participating PNPs to nominate foreign nationals for an open work permit to extend their worker status and stay in Canada. Manitoba’s involvement with the policy formally ended in December of 2025.
