The most recent data on processing times for temporary residence applications has been released by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), showing no significant changes in wait times.
Notable improvements in wait times include:
- Super visas: A five-week decrease for submissions from the Philippines and a three-week decrease for US-based submissions;
- Study permits: A four-week decline for applications from Pakistan;
- Visitor visas: A three-week drop for submissions from India; and
- Work permits: A one-week decrease for applications from Pakistan and the US.
All countries covered experienced improvements in super visa processing times, and most saw reductions in visitor visa wait times, with the exception of the Philippines.

Work permit processing times have either decreased or remained the same since March 11, with notable improvements for submissions from Pakistan and the US, resulting in a one-week decrease.
