Canada’s Recent Express Entry Draws: A Detailed Overview

Canada recently conducted two Express Entry draws on March 4 and March 5, 2026, granting a total of 5,750 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency.

The first draw on March 4 saw the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) inviting 5,500 candidates under the French-language proficiency category, requiring a minimum CRS score of 397. This draw specifically targeted individuals with strong French skills, aligning with Canada’s strategy to enhance Francophone immigration outside Quebec.

The subsequent draw on March 5 involved the issuance of 250 ITAs under the senior managers with Canadian work experience category. Applicants needed to meet a minimum CRS score of 429 and possess at least one year of recent Canadian work experience in a qualifying senior management role.

These consecutive draws underscore IRCC’s ongoing utilization of category-based selection to address specific priorities within the labor market.
