This positions the Canadian passport as the strongest in North America, surpassing the American passport which remains in tenth place. Throughout 2025, the Canadian passport experienced fluctuations in its ranking, starting the year in seventh place, dropping to eighth in July, and ending the year at ninth. However, a recent positive trend has seen the passport rise in ranking since January 2026.
