Canada’s Latest Express Entry Draw Breaks CRS Plateau

Canada recently conducted another Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on November 26, issuing 1,000 invitations to apply through the Express Entry system. Candidates were required to have a minimum CRS score of 531 and had to submit their Express Entry profile before October 8, 2025.

This draw is significant as it marks a departure from the long-standing CRS plateau of 533 and 534 points observed in the previous five CEC rounds. The new cut-off score of 531 is the lowest since July 8, when a larger CEC draw invited 3,000 candidates at 518 points. Despite the decrease in the cut-off score, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has maintained a consistent pattern of issuing 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in every CEC draw since August.

November’s Express Entry Draws

  • A Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on November 25
  • A Healthcare category draw on November 14
  • A CEC draw on November 12
  • A PNP draw on November 10

As of 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 88,476 ITAs across all Express Entry categories. The majority of draws this year have focused on Provincial Nominee Program candidates, followed by CEC and French-language proficiency categories. Draws targeting priority occupations in healthcare, education, and trades have also been active.
