Recently, Canada’s immigration department updated its processing time estimates for various permanent residence (PR) and citizenship application types, showcasing enhancements in several areas.

Notably, individuals applying for PR under Express Entry’s Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) can now expect shorter wait times.

One category that saw an increase in processing time was the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), despite a reduction in the application queue by 1,400 applications.
