In the first half of 2025, Canada saw a significant influx of new citizens, showcasing the country’s diverse population and global immigration network. From January to June, India emerged at the top of the list with 35,586 individuals becoming Canadian citizens, followed by the Philippines with 14,309.

Other leading countries in terms of new Canadian citizens included Nigeria, Iran, and China, each contributing over 4,000 individuals. The rankings also featured nations from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, highlighting the broad spectrum of immigrants choosing Canada as their new home.
