Canada has been recognized as one of the world’s best countries in the 2025 Traveler Awards, securing 10th place with an impressive score of 90.94 out of 100.
This year’s survey drew over 757,000 votes from readers around the globe, with Japan earning the top spot at 95.36, followed by Greece, Portugal, Italy, and Spain rounding out the top five. The full top 10 included mostly European destinations, while Canada was the only North American country to appear in the top tier.
Beyond the country ranking, Canada also earned multiple mentions in the magazine’s lists of the Best Cities in the World.
Victoria, British Columbia, was ranked #1 among small cities, praised for its picturesque ferry ride to Swartz Bay and charming British-inspired atmosphere.
Vancouver ranked 7th among large cities for its mix of urban sophistication and natural beauty.
Montreal followed in 9th place, recognized for its unique blend of old-world charm, vibrant culture, and world-class cuisine.
