Canada Issues 752 Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence

Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship department has recently announced the issuance of 752 Invitations to Apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system. This draw specifically targeted Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination. To be eligible for consideration, candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 772 and had to create an Express Entry profile before a specified deadline.

Foreign nationals in Canada who apply for permanent residence through Express Entry may also be eligible for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP). In case their current work permits expire before a decision on their BOWP applications is made, they can maintain their work authorization under maintained status, as long as they stay in Canada and continue working under the same conditions. Open work permits may also be an option for qualifying family members.
