The government has recently announced an increase in various immigration fees, effective December 1, 2025.
The impacted fees include inadmissibility-related fees and the International Experience Canada (IEC) work permit processing fee.

- Authorization to return to Canada: Old fee – $479.75, New fee – $492.50
- Temporary resident permit: Old fee – $239.75, New fee – $246.25
- Criminal rehabilitation – inadmissibility due to criminality: Old fee – $239.75, New fee – $246.25
- Criminal rehabilitation — inadmissibility due to serious criminality: Old fee – $1,199.00, New fee – $1,231.00
- Restoration of visitor status: Old fee – $239.75, New fee – $246.25
- Restoration of worker status – without new work permit: Old fee – $239.75, New fee – $246.25
- Restoration of worker status – with new work permit: Old fee – $394.75, New fee – $401.25
- Restoration of student status – without new study permit: Old fee – $239.75, New fee – $246.25
- Restoration of student status – with new study permit: Old fee – $389.75, New fee – $396.25
