Canada Healthcare Residency Draw 2025: Latest Updates

Recently, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a draw inviting 2,500 candidates to apply for permanent residency in the Healthcare and Social Services category. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score stood at 472, with profiles submitted before May 12, 2025, being considered.

This draw marked the fourth healthcare-focused event of the year, making the total invitations in this category reach approximately 10,000. IRCC’s ongoing focus on healthcare professionals aims to address labor shortages nationwide.

Past draws varied in size, ranging from 500 to 4,000 invitations, with cut-off scores falling between 510 and 470. The latest results indicate IRCC’s intention to strike a balance, opting for a mid-sized draw with a consistent score.

Professions eligible for consideration include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, physiotherapists, and over 30 other healthcare roles.

With more healthcare draws anticipated before the year concludes, candidates are advised to maintain updated profiles, enhance their CRS scores, and ensure their occupation remains on the approved list.
