Canada Express Entry Draw Targets French-Language Proficient Candidates

Canada conducted a recent Express Entry draw on April 15, 2026, focusing on candidates with French-language skills.

Requirements for receiving an invitation included:

  • a minimum CRS score of 419
  • submission of an Express Entry profile before November 14, 2025 at 7:14 a.m. UTC

This draw marked the fourth French-language draw of 2026. The number of invitations issued remained at 4,000, indicating a trend of lower issuance compared to previous draws earlier in the year, such as the February 6 round that issued 8,500 invitations.

As of 2026, IRCC has issued a total of 65,154 invitations through Express Entry. Among these, French-speaking candidates have received 22,000 ITAs, positioning them as the second-largest group following Canadian Experience Class candidates.

Express Entry draws in 2026 continue to give preference to candidates already residing in Canada, especially those with Canadian work experience or provincial nominations.
