Canada Express Entry Draw for Healthcare and Social Services Professionals

Recently, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a significant Express Entry draw specifically for healthcare and social services candidates, issuing 3,500 Invitations to Apply on November 14. The draw featured a lower minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 462, contrasting with the previous Canadian Experience Class round that required a CRS score of 533 on November 12.

This draw encompassed a diverse array of occupations within healthcare, social services, diagnostics, therapy, and community support fields. Eligible professions ranged from physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and laboratory technologists to medical imaging specialists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, and other regulated health and support roles.

Throughout 2025, Canada has conducted various draws, including 21 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws, 12 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws, seven French language draws, two education occupation draws, six healthcare and social services draws, and one trades draw. This year, a total of 85,732 Invitations to Apply have been issued, following 98,903 ITAs in 2024. IRCC’s selection system continues to emphasize targeted draws as part of its category-based approach.
