Recently, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) issued 602 provincial nomination invitations to high-earning and high-scoring candidates under the province’s “innovate” objective, targeting skilled workers across various occupations and sectors.
This selection marked British Columbia’s largest round of 2026, following the announcement of 1,000 additional nominations, bringing the total allocation to 6,254 slots.
Selection Criteria
The 20th draw of the year invited candidates based on their wage/salary tied to a TEER 0–3 job offer or their profile registration score. Over half of the invitations went to high-earning candidates:
- Job offer + wage: 337 invitations for TEER 0–3 job offer with a wage of at least $55/hour (≈$110,000/year)
- Registration score: 265 invitations with a minimum of 132 points
This round saw the highest proportion of registration-score-based invitations in the Skills Immigration category draws conducted by the BCPNP in 2026. The province has issued a total of 3,260 invitations based on these criteria.
