Alberta has recently conducted its final draw of February, inviting workers with job offers in rural in-province communities to apply for provincial nomination. This draw, held on February 26, is the province’s 13th draw of the year. Just two days earlier, a Tourism and Hospitality Stream draw took place.
Draw Results
On March 4, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) updated its draw page to include the 10th February draw. This draw invited provincial nominee candidates through the Program’s Rural Renewal Stream:

This marks the province’s second draw under the Rural Renewal Stream in 2026. To be eligible for permanent residence through the AAIP’s Rural Renewal Stream, foreign nationals must meet specific criteria, including possessing an Endorsement of Candidate letter from the designated community they plan to settle in and having a job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible occupation.
Rural Renewal Stream Eligibility Criteria
- Possess an Endorsement of Candidate letter from the community they intend to settle in.
- Have a job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible occupation.
- Demonstrate at least 12 months of full-time work experience in an eligible occupation within the last 18 months.
- Meet language proficiency requirements based on the job offer TEER.
- Have a Canadian high school diploma or foreign equivalent.
