During the period of May 1–May 13, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted four selection rounds, extending invitations to a larger pool of candidates for provincial nomination.

A total of 1,051 candidates under AAIP were invited, including professionals in the healthcare and technology sectors, as well as individuals intending to settle and work in rural Alberta communities.

As of the current date, Alberta has organized a total of 36 provincial immigration draws in the year 2026.

Draw Details

The latest four draws by AAIP issued invitations across various streams and pathways:

• Rural Renewal Stream;
• Alberta Opportunity Stream;
• Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway; and
• Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry.

The majority of invitations were distributed through the Alberta Opportunity Stream, constituting approximately 79.2% of all invitations in May.
