Alberta Advantage Immigration Program Draws Over 1,100 Candidates

Last week, the provincial Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted two draws, issuing a total of 1,125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination. Candidates were selected based on various criteria such as their ties to Alberta, ranking in the AAIP’s scoring system, and experience in priority healthcare occupations.

Draw Results (November 10–14)

The AAIP conducted two draws through different streams with varying scores and sizes:

  • November 10, 2025 – Alberta Opportunity Stream: 1,045 ITAs, Minimum Score: 55
  • November 14, 2025 – Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Health Care): 80 ITAs, Minimum Score: 52

The November 10th draw was the second-largest selection by the AAIP this year. The Alberta Opportunity Stream is an immigration pathway for temporary foreign workers in Alberta, requiring a full-time job offer, valid work permit, and meeting eligibility criteria.

The Alberta Opportunity Stream has the largest nomination allocation among AAIP’s streams, with over 3,656 spots. As of November 19, 3,120 nominations have been issued, with 536 spots remaining for 2025. The AAIP is processing 1,100 applications for this stream.

On November 14, another draw was held under the Alberta Express Entry Stream, focusing on priority sectors like health care. The program has issued 494 nominations with a total allocation of 660 spots for 2025.
