New Brunswick’s Latest Selection for Provincial Immigration Program
New Brunswick has chosen 63 workers to progress on its Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) immigration path. The province recently processed applications for endorsement certificates from workers in various sectors, including construction, education, and sales.
Successful applicants will receive an endorsement certificate, enabling them to apply for permanent residence with the federal government. Foreign nationals holding an AIP endorsement certificate can also apply for a federal employer-specific work permit valid for two years. Those who apply for an AIP work permit before their current permit expires can benefit from maintained status, allowing them to work under the existing permit conditions until a decision is made on their AIP work permit.
The selection included workers from seven occupational categories: Construction, Education, Social and Community Services, Manufacturing, Other Trades, Professional and IT, Sales and Services, and Transportation. New Brunswick set the cut-off date for these selections as Sept. 24 and Oct. 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. AST.
To qualify for provincial immigration through the AIP, workers need a job offer from a province-designated employer. This recent selection round marks the 10th AIP-specific selection round conducted by New Brunswick in 2026.
