New Brunswick recently conducted several provincial immigration selections, issuing a total of 678 invitations to workers in priority occupational groups such as Construction, Education, Social and Community Services, Manufacturing, Professional and IT, Sales and Services, Transportation, and Other Trades. These invitations were extended through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) and three streams of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP).

Invited candidates have the opportunity to submit a complete application for nomination (NBPNP) or endorsement (AIP). Once nominated or endorsed by the province, they can proceed to apply for permanent residence (PR) with the federal government.

Workers endorsed through the AIP can also apply for an employer-specific work permit with the federal government. Provincial nominees may qualify for a bridging open work permit (BOWP) after submitting their PR application.

Starting June 9, 2026, nominees applying for PR through a base PNP stream can benefit from an expedited process to apply for a BOWP, thanks to a federal temporary measure that allows them to qualify for a BOWP before receiving the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) for their PR application.
