Recently, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued a significant number of invitations to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system. The immigration department granted 2,000 ITAs in a draw specifically for Canadian Experience Class candidates. To qualify for this draw, candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 519 and had to create an Express Entry candidate profile before a specified deadline. Applicants in Canada aiming for permanent residence through Express Entry also have the option to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP). If their current work permit expires before their BOWP application is processed, they can benefit from maintained status, enabling them to continue working under the same conditions as their existing work permit as long as they remain in Canada. Eligible family members of the applicant may also have the opportunity to apply for a BOWP.
