Saskatchewan Employers: Last Chance for Provincial Immigration Support

Don’t miss the final opportunity this year for Saskatchewan employers in capped sectors to assist their workers with provincial immigration.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has allocated 550 provincial immigration spaces on a first-come, first-served basis, as reported on the SINP Processing Statistics web page on September 2, 2026.

The SINP has canceled the intake scheduled for November 2, 2026.

The following table displays each capped sector’s submission window and the available positions for the SINP’s final intake period:

Capped sector Date and time of intake opening Number of available spots
Retail, trade, and other services September 14: 9:30 a.m. 175
Trucking September 14: 9:30 a.m. 150
Accommodations September 14: 1:30 p.m. 50
Food services September 15: 1:30 p.m. 175

Employers in retail, trucking, accommodation, and food services can move a worker onto the provincial immigration track by submitting an Employer Position Assessment (EPA) application.

Applications can be submitted after the intake opens until the cap of 550 applications is reached.

EPA applications submitted outside the intake period will be returned unprocessed.

Each position listed on an EPA counts toward the intake window cap. Employers can include multiple positions in a single EPA application, with a maximum of three for capped sectors.

Employers in capped sectors can submit an EPA only if the worker has six months or less remaining on their work permit.
