Processing times have decreased for permanent residence applicants through various immigration programs. The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and Quebec Business Class have all seen improvements in processing times.
AIP applicants experienced the most significant change, with wait times decreasing by 12 months. Provincial nominees also saw a reduction in processing times, with a decrease of one month for both base and enhanced applications. Similarly, processing times for Quebec Business Class applications dropped by two months.
Conversely, wait times for most family sponsorship applicants, including spouses, common-law partners, and parents, increased by one month. However, wait times for non-PNP Express Entry applications and Quebec immigration through the Skilled Worker Selection Program remained unchanged.
