Understanding Research Rankings
CWUR determines a university’s research score by evaluating four key areas:
- Research Output – Measured by the total number of research articles published.
- High-Quality Publications – Focuses on the number of research articles appearing in top-tier journals.
- Influence – Assesses the number of citations each university’s research receives.
- Citations per Publication – Examines the average number of citations per research article.
The latest rankings were released on June 1, showcasing U of T’s continued excellence in academic research.
