Canada has secured the 19th position in the U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Countries rankings.

The country excelled in the Culture & Tourism category, ranking 8th globally, with strong performances in Governance and Infrastructure contributing to its overall standing.

Switzerland claimed the top spot this year, followed by Denmark and Sweden, with the United States ranking 18th, just ahead of Canada.

The 2026 rankings, released on May 13, mark the first under a redesigned, data-driven methodology, evaluating 100 countries across 100 statistical indicators of national well-being.
