The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) recently conducted another Skills Immigration draw on May 14, 2026.
Candidates were invited based on specific selection criteria related to wage/salary, TEER 0–3 job offer, and profile registration score.
Draw Details
The draw resulted in a total of 437 invitations being issued, making it the province’s fifth SI draw of the year.
Invitations were evenly distributed between the two selection factors, with a slightly higher percentage of candidates (51.5%) receiving invitations based on wage/salary and job offer.
| Selection Criteria | Details | Invitations Issued |
|---|---|---|
| Wage/salary + job offer | TEER 0–3 job offer with a minimum wage of $59/hour (≈ $120,000/year) | 225 |
| Registration score | Minimum of 135 points | 212 |
This selection criteria is part of the province’s ‘Innovate’ initiative, aimed at attracting experts and innovators to contribute to B.C.’s growth as a top destination for international talent.
BCPNP highlights that invitations are extended to highly skilled workers across various in-demand sectors and occupations under this initiative.
Future high economic impact invitations may consider different selection factors, such as education, professional designation, work experience, language ability, occupation, job offer details, regional preferences, and alignment with provincial priorities.
This recent draw is the third-largest SI draw of the year, following the April 22 and February 11 draws, which had higher invitation numbers.
