Express Entry Draw: 4,000 Invitations Issued for French-Speaking Candidates
A recent Express Entry draw targeted at French-speaking candidates has resulted in the issuance of 4,000 invitations for permanent residence.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off stood at 400, with only profiles submitted before early April 2026 being considered. This draw stands out as one of the more inclusive French-language rounds conducted this year.
This draw comes on the heels of two previous draws held earlier in the week, which focused on provincial nominees and candidates with Canadian work experience. The trend of category-based selections over general draws continues.
In 2026, a significant portion of invitations are being extended to candidates already residing in Canada. Additionally, French-speaking applicants are benefiting from specialized rounds that feature lower score requirements.
The total number of invitations issued this year has surpassed 70,000, with the majority being allocated to Canadian Experience Class candidates, closely followed by recipients of French-language draws.
