The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) recently conducted four provincial immigration draws between April 8 and April 14, 2026, issuing a total of 332 invitations to apply across various streams and pathways.
Invitations were extended through streams such as Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway, Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors pathway (Construction and skilled trades), Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry, and Rural Renewal Stream.
Since the beginning of 2026, AAIP has organized 27 draws, with a significant number of invitations issued through the Alberta Opportunity Stream.
Prioritizing technology, construction, skilled trades, health care, and rural immigration candidates, the recent draws showcased a diverse pool of invitees. The April 8 Accelerated Tech Pathway draw accounted for the largest share (43%) of invitations.

Alberta was granted a total of 6,403 nomination spaces by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for 2026. As of April 15, the province has issued 1,634 nominations, with 4,769 spaces remaining. Additionally, there are 1,535 applications awaiting processing in AAIP’s inventory.
