Canada’s Latest Express Entry Draw Highlights Provincial Nominee Program
Canada recently conducted a new Express Entry draw on April 13, 2026, where 324 candidates were invited through the Provincial Nominee Program.
Applicants were required to have a minimum CRS score of 786 and had to submit their Express Entry profile before November 19, 2025, to be eligible for an invitation.
This draw was specifically focused on the Provincial Nominee Program, aligning with the trend observed in 2026. Canada has consistently been selecting candidates with provincial nominations, as well as individuals from the Canadian Experience Class and targeted groups like French speakers, trades workers, healthcare professionals, physicians, and senior managers with Canadian work experience.
PNP draws have been the most prevalent in 2026, with a total of 59,154 invitations issued across all draw categories, including 3,263 through PNP-exclusive rounds. This emphasis on candidates with provincial nominations and ties to Canada’s labor market remains evident throughout the year.
