Quebec recently extended invitations to 2,522 candidates on March 19 through the Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ), marking the third round of 2026.

The majority of invitations, approximately 44%, were allocated to regulated professions under Stream 3, highlighting the ongoing emphasis on healthcare and licensed occupations.

Breakdown by Stream:

• Stream 1 (highly skilled): 893 invitations
• Stream 2 (intermediate/manual): 509 invitations
• Stream 3 (regulated professions): 1,118 invitations
• Stream 4 (exceptional talent): 2 invitations

Candidates were selected from the Arrima pool on March 16, underscoring the rigorous selection process.

Given the closure of the PEQ pathway, the PSTQ has emerged as the primary avenue for skilled workers aspiring to attain permanent residency in Quebec.
