Exciting Changes Coming to Canada’s Express Entry Program
Canada is planning significant changes to its Express Entry system, including reintroducing CRS points for job offers.
As per a recent government announcement, candidates with job offers and Canadian work experience in higher-paying positions may soon receive additional points. Moreover, individuals licensed to work in regulated professions could also gain an advantage in the application process.
While the exact timeline for these modifications has not been finalized, they are part of a larger overhaul of the system.
This proposed adjustment signifies a departure from the 2025 policy, which eliminated job offer points to combat fraudulent activities. The removal of these points had previously reduced the competitive edge for candidates with LMIA-supported offers.
Although specific details are currently scarce, the shift indicates a renewed emphasis on candidates ready for employment and occupations in high demand within regulated sectors.
