Prince Edward Island’s Immigration Draw Process for 2026

On January 15, 2025, Prince Edward Island conducted its initial selection round for 2026 as per the planned Invitation to Apply (ITA) schedule.

The focus was on candidates with connections to the province, particularly international student graduates from specific designated learning institutions (DLIs).

Draw Results

This week, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) issued a total of 26 ITAs to local individuals through the Labour Impact and PEI Express Entry categories.

  • Labour Impact: Skilled Worker Stream, Critical Worker Stream, and International Graduate Stream.
  • PEI Express Entry.

The draw targeted individuals in priority sectors like healthcare, trades, and manufacturing, who are making a significant economic impact in the province.

International student graduates from specific DLIs like University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de l’Île were given additional priority.

It is likely that the selection parameters from 2025 will continue throughout 2026 based on previous draws.

In 2025, the first draw of the year saw 22 invitations issued to individuals in the healthcare sector.

Upcoming Draws

If the province follows its ITA schedule, the next draws are anticipated to occur on February 19, March 19, and April 16.

However, these dates are subject to change, and draws may happen earlier or later than expected.

Prince Edward Island has a history of sticking to its scheduled dates, as seen in 2025.

To be considered for the next draw, foreign nationals need to create an account on PEI’s official website and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
