Quebec recently invited more than 1,870 individuals to apply for permanent selection through the Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ). This selection round, following a three-month pause, encompassed all four streams of the program:
- Stream 1: Highly qualified and specialized skills;
- Stream 2: Intermediate and manual skills;
- Stream 3: Regulated professions; and
- Stream 4: Exceptional talent.
For this draw, candidates were selected from the Arrima bank on December 1, 2025, at 3 p.m.
Details of the Draw
Stream 1: Highly qualified and specialized skills
A total of 605 individuals received invitations from Quebec through Stream 1 of the PSTQ on December 4. These invitations were distributed among candidates residing in Quebec and those outside the Montreal Metropolitan Community.
Invitations were extended to Quebec residents meeting specific criteria, including a score of 781 points or higher, primary occupation in NOC FEER 0, 1, or 2 category, no intention to practice in a regulated profession on the Minister’s list, at least 12 months of eligible work experience in the last five years, completion of an eligible Quebec diploma program, French-language proficiency, and more.
Candidates residing outside the Montreal Metropolitan Community had to meet additional criteria related to the manufacturing sector.
Selected candidates were primarily from manufacturing and food processing occupations.
