Manitoba has recently invited skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
The MPNP issued invitations under its Skilled Worker stream, selecting candidates through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways.
Draw Results
On November 21, the MPNP issued invitations through both pathways of its Skilled Worker Stream, targeting candidates who had been previously selected under a strategic recruitment initiative by the province.
| Skilled Recruitment Initiative | Number of LAAs Issued |
|---|---|
| Employer Services | 18 |
| Francophone Community | 8 |
| Regional Communities | 8 |
| Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) | 1 |
Since June, the MPNP has prioritized candidates selected under recruitment initiatives for settlement in Manitoba in the second half of 2025.
Of the 35 invitations issued, five were to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.
The MPNP explains reasons for not receiving an LAA, such as incomplete language test information or missing invitation numbers.
Strategic Recruitment Initiatives
Strategic recruitment initiatives are special programs that Manitoba uses to invite skilled immigrants to fill critical labour gaps or meet immigration goals.
Candidates are selected by the MPNP based on their immigration goals for an SRI, through recruitment initiatives, or exploratory visits.
