Provincial Immigration Draws: Manitoba and Alberta Invite Skilled Workers

Manitoba and Alberta have recently issued over 2,000 invitations to skilled workers through their provincial immigration draws.

Manitoba Draws

On October 9, 2025, Manitoba extended invitations to 862 candidates via its Skilled Worker streams, focusing on healthcare, home support, and caregiving roles. Invitations were also extended to candidates chosen through employer partnerships and the Temporary Public Policy for prospective nominees.

Alberta Draws

From October 1 to 7, Alberta conducted three draws under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), issuing 1,324 invitations. These draws included the Opportunity Stream, Accelerated Tech Pathway, and Priority Sectors like Construction. Alberta recently increased its 2025 nomination quota to 6,403 from 4,875 to meet the growing demands of the labor market.

These draws underscore the ongoing commitment of provinces to fulfill workforce requirements through tailored immigration channels.
