Manitoba recently conducted a new round of newcomer selections, extending invitations to thousands of skilled workers and graduates to apply for a provincial nomination through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
Candidates received invitations under the International Education Stream, Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway, and Skilled Worker Overseas pathway as part of targeted strategic recruitment initiatives.
MPNP Draw Results
On September 4, 2025, the MPNP held draw #253, issuing a total of 3,347 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to foreign nationals. Invitations were distributed across different streams:
- Skilled Worker Stream: 15 LAAs, Cut-off score 844
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba: 1,466 LAAs, Cut-off score N/A
- International Education Stream: 1,866 LAAs, Cut-off score N/A
Selection Criteria
Skilled Worker Stream
Candidates were selected based on strategic recruitment initiatives under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams. LAAs were issued as follows:
- Employer Services: 4 LAAs
- Francophone Community: 7 LAAs
- Regional Communities: 3 LAAs
- Ethnocultural Communities: 1 LAA
Skilled Worker in Manitoba – Citizens of Ukraine Selection
Another draw for the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream occurred on September 4, focusing on candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and having a principal applicant who is a citizen of Ukraine.
International Education Stream
Candidates were selected based on the eligibility requirements of the International Education Stream.
