If you are interested in applying for an International Experience Canada (IEC) work permit in 2025, time is running out to submit your candidate profile. Eligible foreign youth from participating countries must complete their profile before 9 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on October 20, 2025.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be issuing the final round of invitations for the 2025 season during the week of October 20. Due to high demand, the IEC operates on a lottery system, where eligible foreign youth first submit an online Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.
Those who miss the October 20 deadline will have to wait until the 2026 IEC pools open in January. The table below displays the eligible nationalities and their respective upper age limits for obtaining an IEC work permit:
