Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program: New Scoring System for Permanent Residence Pathways

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has introduced a new scoring system for candidates seeking nominations for Canadian permanent residence through three immigration pathways.

Work Region

  • Northern Ontario: 15 points
  • Eastern Ontario: 10 points
  • Central Ontario (outside GTA): 10 points
  • Southwestern Ontario: 10 points
  • Outside Toronto, within GTA: 5 points
  • Toronto: 0 points

Occupation Skill Level

  • NOC TEER 0-1: 9 points
  • NOC TEER 2-3: 6 points
  • NOC TEER 4-5: 0 points

Compensation

  • Hourly wage: Points based on wage
